Music world mourns loss of Lou Reed at age 71

Rocker Lou Reed passed away over the weekend despite undergoing a liver transplant earlier in the year. The Velvet Underground musician’s hard-edged guitar playing and candid lyrics had an indelible impact on rock ’n’ roll.
