Squeeze play: Airlines expand rows and narrow aisles

Almost every major U.S. airline will add new “Slimline” seats to their planes, squeezing more seats in width-wise and narrowing the airplane aisles.

>> get ready for a tighter squeeze next time you fly. every major u.s. airline is adding more seats to it's planes but not the big seats you're used to. airlines are installing so-called slim line models that take up less space and allow for five or six more seats on each planes. for the airlines it means more customers but for you thinner padding and narrower aisle.
