Open enrollment for health coverage begins today

As the Affordable Care Act started to take effect Tuesday, Americans without access to job-based health insurance were able to sign up for subsidized private policies for the first time ever. Recipients can sign up as late as Dec. 15 for Jan. 1, 2014, coverage.
