Starbucks requests customers leave guns at home

The Newtown Coalition for Corporate Responsibility published a letter asking Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz to ban guns in all of the chain’s stores. Schultz said the company will not enforce the ban, but rather request that their customers respect the “lens of civility.”

>> starbucks is announcing a policy that firearms will no longer be welcome in it's stores. this is a different policy than what the company used to do. before they followed state laws where ever the stores were and many states allowed people to openly carry their weapons. well that lead to starbucks appreciation days where they would celebrate the chain's policy by showing up to the store with their firearms and the ceo decided enough is enough. while they're not going to enforce the ban because they don't want to create a situation inside the coffee shop they're saying please don't bring your firearm to the store.
