Oprah Winfrey makes movie, cable TV comeback

The queen of media is making a strong comeback two years after she ended her talk show, with a now-profitable cable channel, an exclusive interview with Lindsay Lohan and a new role in the highly anticipated movie “The Butler.” NBC’s Mara Schiavocampo reports.

>> reporter: now oprah has done it again. thursday own announced an upcoming exclusive interview with lindsay lohan fresh off a rehab stint.

>> reporter: winfrey is expanding her reach. soon starring in the highly-anticipated film "the butler" playing the wife of forest whittaker's character. a movie winfrey says is important to understand civil rights history and quote people need to see. just one more role winfrey can add to a list of growing entitlements. now for her part winfrey has always said she didn't expect the channel to be profitable until 2014 so she's had pretty realistic expectations. she's making news about her views on race. she revealed she never used the n-word and doesn't let anyone use it around her earth.
