Tropical Storm Flossie ‘will make a mess of Monday’

Flooding alerts have been issued in Hawaii warning of the possibility of "torrential rainfall, thunderstorms and high winds" as Tropical Storm Flossie heads toward the region. TODAY’s Dylan Dreyer reports.

>> there was torrential downpours yesterday in charlotte, north carolina . it did lead to flash flooding . quite a messy scene. take a look at that. some people had to be rescued from their cars when the floods came without warning. that's how hard the rain was. it did sweep some of those cars away. we did see those torrential downpours in the charlotte area yesterday. it is moving eastward, we will still see scattered showers and thunderstorms today. it shouldn't be as heavy as the line of rain we had late yesterday. we are going to see off-and-on showers and thunderstorms because of a cold front moving through the area. you can see the sheer amount of rain won't be as bad as yesterday. we're also keeping an eye still on tropical storm flossie moving westward toward the big island of hawaii . it should make a mess of monday, just as a tropical storm , but with that comes torrential downpours, winds and rough surf. monday from start to finish will be a washout. that's a look
