Alec Baldwin takes to Twitter to defend wife

The actor jumped to his pregnant wife Hilaria’s defense over allegations that she had been sending lighthearted tweets during James Gandolfini’s funeral with an expletive-laden rant on his Twitter account, which has since been deactivated. NBC’s Mara Schiavocampo reports.

>> good morning, savannah. after attending james gandolfini 's funeral thursday morning reports surfaced that baldwin 's wife was tweeting while others were mourning. well, baldwin wasted no time in saying that was not true, and then some. he is at it again in 140 characters. thursday, famously short-tempered actor alex baldwin took to temper with an angry rant against the daily mail after they reported baldwin 's pregnant wife was tweeting during actor james gandolfini 's funeral. someone wrote my wife was tweeting at a funeral. hey. that's not true. but i'm going to tweet at your funeral. why so mad? the daily bail claims she posted light hearted tweets around 10:00 a.m . during the somber service including asking for wedding anniversary ideas and retweeting a message about her favorite summer smoothie. but according to the time stamp it appears her tweets were sent 3 hours later, at 1:00 p.m . eastern time . baldwin says he wife never touched her phone. my wife and i attend a funeral to pay our respects to an old friend and some toxic brit writes this trash. i'm going to find you george stark you toxic little expletive and i'm going to expletive you up. it's not the first time he lost his cool. when asked to stop playing word with friends on the plane. last june he was in a scuffle with a daily news photographer. his account is deactivated again. his wife also stood up for herself tweeting she would never take a phone into a funeral. by the way, the couple is having a baby girl due later this summer.
