Danielle Bradbery is youngest-ever ‘Voice’ winner

During the season finale of the fourth season of “The Voice,” Texas teen  Danielle Bradbery, 16, came out on top, becoming the youngest contestant ever to win the show. E!’s Jason Kennedy reports.

>>> 7:43 and we're back with last night's exciting finale on nbc's hit singing competition, "the voice." a texas teenager was crowned the youngest winner in that show's history. jason kennedy has the highlights. good morning to you.

>> reporter: good morning. it was quite the finale. it went out with a bang last night. huge production power and a lot of celebrity power. a 16-year-old took it. she never even had a voice lesson before.

>> the winner of the voice is danielle bradbery.

>> reporter: last night the voice crowned it's youngest champion ever. the 16-year-old country singer who had never taken a vocal listen beat out more seasoned artists. stunned after being named the voice, bradbery was unable to find hers losing it during her solo born to fly.

>> i am still speechless. i have to say how honored and blessed i feel. it's been an amazing journey and it's amazing to be crowned the winner of "the voice."

>> reporter: tuesday night's two hour finale was packed with a range of musical stars including christina who will be back next season. bruno mars with his latest hit. and music legend cher who performed a single admitted being a little nervous singing on live television for the first time in five years.

>> i was panicked. i thought oh gosh what if i'm just terrible. i thought i did okay. you know, passable. i think it 's wonderful that we've got a place that can show case talent like this.

>> reporter: bradbery's career may have started with the push of a button but by most accounts, the singer mentored by blake shelton is on track to become the voice's first break out star.

>> the fact that we got to see her develop before our very eyes, that's very special. for not only us but the music industry . i mean we got to see a star born born.

>> six weeks ago i was hearing people in the record industry talking about danielle . by the time i finish this sentence she'll be a major country star .

>> reporter: matt i should point out that blake shelton called danielle bradbery the most parent artist to walk across the voice stage with no previous experience other than singing at family gatherings. all eyes are on her to become the show's first big star .

>> jason, that's great.

>> the only thing i would say here is a cautionary tale, she is 16. i hope she has great people around her because she is off on a wild ride and that ride can get bumpy at times.
