Judge of Miss USA: The guys are jealous of my job

Miss USA is just hours away from crowning a new winner. Sunday night, 51 contestants will take center stage in Las Vegas to compete for the crown, and judge Larry Fitzgerald will be watching. NBC’s Tom Llamas interviews Larry Fitzgerald.

>> thanks for having me. congratulations on your first father's day.

>> i know you're a dad, too, so happy father's day to you, too. you condition in the preseason, lift weights, go over 0 the offensive plays with your quarterback. how do you get ready for miss usa ?

>> a lot of internet watching pageants from the past and trying to get a little bit of knowledge, because it's totally different from what i do on an everyday basis. it's an honor to be participating in it.

>> it's going to be great. so there's three categories, evening wear, swimsuit and, of course, the interview. what are you looking for? which category will be the one you really want to judge?

>> well, they're all an integral part to the competition be a representing a young lady to represent our country internationally, they're all extremely important and i know they're all going to do a great job.

>> you know, this is a pretty sweet gig where. were your fellow cardinals jealous?

>> they all texted me and called me how lucky. the ladies not so much.

>> there's been some preliminary rounds so far in the judging of the competition. are there any front-runners?

>> well, you know what, to be honest, i haven't even been able to see any of the preliminary rounds or any of the girls, for that matter. they try to keep that stuff as private as possible so it's a fair competition. so i'm looking forward to seeing everybody tonight and doing a good job of picking somebody to represent the united states .

>> last question, you're an air ar cardinal, you played for pitt, pennsylvania, arizona, and you're from minnesota. will those states get any bias from you?

>> no, no, no, no. you have to be fair. the most qualified person will get my vote. that's how i am, a fair and honest.
