>> we want to begin this morning with the unseasonable weather in parts of the country. the holiday went off to a wet start in philadelphia. other parts of the northeast are expected to see snow. dylan is tracking it all for us this morning. good morning.
>> there is snow. good morning. coming up on the radar here especially above 2,000 feet, there you see it back up across upstate new york just northwest of albany we are seeing snow in the highest elevations and up to 6 inches of the white stuff is possible. elsewhere, it's a cold rain. temperatures are only going to top out in the 50s today. we do have frost advisories and freeze warnings back across the great lakes and most of pennsylvania stretching down into west virginia too where temperatures this afternoon will only be in the 40s and 50s. it is looking like it should be about 15 to nearly 30 degrees below average especially across parts of vermont where it's only going to top out around 42 degrees. we're also going to keep an eye on the middle of next week. this is the hinting of a setup similar to what we saw last week where we have that moisture coming in off the gulf of mexico combine that with a very slow moving cold front and we could possibly see another severe weather outbreak especially as we go into wednesday afternoon stretching on into thursday too. there you see right down into nebraska, kansas, into oklahoma, it spreads ever so slowly eastward by friday morning. the biggest threat as of right now would be for large hail, damaging wind gusts and a few isolated tornadoes are possible. again, part of that forecast could change. that's just a hint of what's to come by some of the latest computer models and the time frame would be middle to end of next week. certainly something we will be keeping an eye on once we get through a very chilly start to the memorial day weekend . lester?
