Baby-naming contest revealed to be hoax
A woman who claimed last week that she won a $5,000 Internet contest to let online voters choose her baby’s name appears to have been pulling a hoax. TODAY and other programs covered the story, but the website’s owner now says they hired the woman, who is a professional actress, to make the false claim in an effort to drum up business.
