>>> the giving season is here, and while you're shopping for loved ones, we hope that you'll pick up a gift and help donate to our 19th annual "today" toy drive. the gifts today, amongst others, will be going to needy families in montana and military families at wilson air force base in alaska. one is to give every kid a book. meredith from cheerios is helping us reach that goal and has her 6-year-old daughter ela with us. good morning, ladies.

>> good morning.

>> so nice to see you.

>> you folks have been so good to us here at cheerios. why did you take part in this every year?

>> we're so proud to be participating in this program for the 11th year, and cheerios feels it's very important for kids to have books. we want to nourish children both around the breakfast table, but through a book, so they can help live their potential, and there's so many kids in this country who don't have a book to call their own.

>> ela, this is the first time i've been to new york, how do you like it?
