Baby walrus rides out hurricane at NY aquarium
Mitik, the baby walrus who was recently transferred from Alaska to New York after being abandoned by his mother, survived superstorm Sandy even though the New York Aquarium in Coney Island was inundated by flood waters. Staff stayed on-site for around-the-clock care.
