No smoking for Santa: Good sense, or censorship?

>> it's making a little bit of a comeback now because barbra streisand is also making a comeback and enjoying her first concert in brooklyn so apparently during intermission one of the producers heard this song over and over again.

>> take two, it was the night before christmas , more sanitized version, apparently. there was an author who has taken some issue with the fact that santa smokes a pipe and in the year of 2012 thinks that's time for santa to clean up his act and he's got to stop smoking.

>> he also breaks and enters, but, you know, nobody is complaining about that, you know. got a fat guy with a beard coming down your chimney.

>> not to mention all the other vices. apparently deletes the verses the pipe he held in his teeth and the circsmoke encircled his head like a wreath. is this censorship, too far?

>> this is wrong. these are our childhood stories. okay, he's lived this long. he's doing all right.

>> honestly. i didn't know santa smoked. didn't stick with me.

>> and then to make it even healthier, put some bacon in it.

>> that's tough to say. he's my tester. he loves it all. got anything to test for the nice book? sure, honey.
