What to wear while lounging by the pool

>>> this morning on "today's style," what to wear poolside. this summer it's less about the swim wear and more about the cover-up and the accessories. style expert and author of "wear this, toss that" amy goodman is here with the hottest looks. you look beautiful.

>> next time, next time. let's get to the good part, the fashion that you brought. let's start off with hayley and dressy shorts are in.

>> absolutely. you know hayley has an incredible look that we pulled from target. kind of like a boutique shop within target. and what she ends up wearing is a $24.99 shorts, right to the pool with her bikini top. then for what i call apres pool, just like apres-ski, the tank and the blazer which is also from the collection. a really sweet hat from banana republic . that great fedora there and also some two-tone wedges that are from two-lips shoes.

>> i like the cut. it's not your traditional styled short.

>> right. this just seems really dressy. i didn't even have to add any jewelry at all because the look has that dressiness too it. and she has the natural tresses to complete the look. and the shoes i love, they have mixed media , canvas and leather.

>> next up we've got the nautical look which always goes with summer and for that, erin is rocking it.

>> when you think about tunics and cover-ups it seems like an almost go-to, of course, for the swim wear season. this is my absolute favorite. this is from nordstrom's. it has the great marine stripe. it has the red grommets. and she can just have a little bit of subtle sexiness. she wears the top to the cool and for apres pool she throws on the jennifer lopez capri pants and the sandals which are so versatile.

>> i love the fact that this is classic but with an edge so you don't look like everyone else.

>> and i love ashley. she can drop down the sunglasses because it does have just a little bit of street attitude poolside.

>> this is an absolute preview that is from banana republic . this collection is going to come out on june 7th . so mark the calendar. because everything in the collection is stunning. so when she goes to the pool she wears a strapless dress and the tote. and then to dress it up a little bit later for cocktails apres pool you add the belt and the accessories, the beautiful pendant necklace. the bracelets, some sandals and this elevates the entire look.

>> sharann is pregnant. as everybody knows being pregnant in the summer heat , the temperatu temperature rises and so does your body temperature . the maxi is very breezy. this is from liz lang, maternity collection. it's been ten years that liz lang has been at target. that's a great celebration.

>> and that baby is stylin' inside. you look amazing. and quickly, accessories, sunglasses, flip-flops, all of those things.

>> this is a debut for the "today" show. quilted totes that are color blocked and monogrammed. we also have the sunglasses. you buy sunglasses and they give prescription sunglasses for people. and fabulous flip-flops that celebrities love and some great beach towels.
