‘Loser’ bonded with son on show

Ken Andrews, the latest contestant to be voted off “The Biggest Loser: Couples,” talks about some of the firsts he experienced with his son Austin during his time on the ranch.

>> i read here your starting weight was 377 pounds and on the show you lost 134 pounds. now where are you?

>> just about down 145 pounds.

>> remarkable.

>> you got voted off. how tough was it leaving your son austin behind?

>> it was really difficult. we had been together and the show helped to make our relationship really healthy. so it was tough leaving him behind. i know he'll do great.

>> he looks terrific.

>> meantime it's amazing that both of you, have you talked about how much better you feel? what's the common denominator in terms of the impact on your life?

>> on "the biggest loser" there were dozens of things we did for the first time together on that show. being in a swimming pool with him, boxing with him. so many first time things we did as father and son , it was incredible.
