Lebanese-American crowned Miss USA

Lebanese immigrant Rima Fakih, representing Michigan, beat out 50 other women to win the 2010 Miss USA title. NBC’s Ann Curry has more details.

ANN CURRY, anchor: And there's a new Miss USA this morning. Twenty-four -old Rima Fakih from Dearborn , Michigan , was crowned last night in Las Vegas . She immigrated with her family from Lebanon to the United States as a baby and now becomes the first Arab-American to hold the title. It is now 7:15. Let's go back to Matt , Meredith , Al . And Natalie Morales was co-hosting along with Curtis Stone last night.

MATT LAUER, co-host: Good for her.

MEREDITH VIEIRA, co-host: That's a good duo right there.

LAUER: That's great, yeah. Congratulations to Miss Michigan .

VIEIRA: And she took a little stumble when she came out in her evening gown, so it didn't hurt her at all.
