>>> we're back now at 8:53 with a 6-year-old piano prodigy from connecticut. clara began playing just before her 4th birthday. she's already wowing audiences at places like new york 's famed carnegie hall . clara is here along with her mom and piano teacher. good morning to both of you.
>> good morning.
>> hi, clara . how are you?
>> good.
>> i would have been so nervous at carnegie hall . were you nervous at all?
>> just a little.
>> just a little. what about all those people? is that the most people you've ever played for?
>> i think.
>> how did you think you did?
>> really good.
>> really good? i'm glad to hear that. do you like all kinds of music, clara , or mostly just classical music ?
>> all kinds of music.
>> yeah? what are your favorite other -- what are your favorite bands? do you like like miley cyrus and people like that?
>> yeah.
>> yeah? good! you are motivating her, you're teaching her. is there a line though between motivating and pushing too hard?
>> yeah. i think motivating is more important than pushing. it is very important to, you know, be healthy and in a happy environment for the children so they can enjoy more relax more, so enjoy what they're doing.
>> we've been watching her rehearse. she seems to really be enjoying it. will you play a little something for us and i'll get out of the way?
>> okay.
