Sally Yates’ decision not to enforce Trump travel ban was ‘largely symbolic’

NBC White House correspondent Pete Williams tells TODAY that acting Attorney General Sally Yates’ decision not to enforce President Trump’s travel ban, for which she was fired by Trump, was “largely symbolic” since Sen. Jeff Sessions is expected to be confirmed as Trump’s attorney general shortly. Williams looks back at Yates’ confirmation hearing, when Sessions asked her if the attorney general had a responsibility to say no to the president.
