Russia may try to plant doubt in election, cybersecurity expert warns

As NBC News was first to report, the nation's intelligence community is poised for any possible Election Day cyberattacks. Security expert Shawn Henry says a disruption of the actual ballot process would be “very difficult” because our system is so widely dispersed. But he adds that Russia may attempt to plant a seed of doubt in the electoral process via leaks to social media. “It’s about creating confusion and chaos in the democratic process.”
