Rachel Dolezal writing book on racial identity, has no regrets: ‘I’m still me’
One year ago, Rachel Dolezal, who was the head of the Spokane, Washington chapter of the NAACP, made headlines when it was revealed that she was white by birth despite identifying herself as a black woman for decades. She tells TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie she’s “ready to move on” after a difficult year, though “I don’t have any regrets about how I identify. I’m still me.” And she shares that she’s writing a book about racial identity.
