Paw-ternity leave: Some employers offer paid leave to new pet owners
Some people consider their pets to be another child so a growing number of employers in the U.K. are taking that to the next level by offering “paw-ternity” leave. It’s a leave of anywhere from a few hours to a few months. The idea behind the move is that animals and their new owners need time to adjust just like a newborn and their parents do.
