Army Staff Sgt. Ty Carter was awarded the nation’s highest military decoration for braving a deadly attack by Taliban fighters in order to save his fellow soldiers. Carter, 33, works with soldiers and veterans affected by post-traumatic stress disorder, and hopes to use the award to spread awareness about PTSD. NBC’s Jim Miklaszewski reports.Aug. 27, 2013
