Louisiana flooding: At least 1 dead, dozens stranded in their homes

The entire state of Louisiana is under a state of emergency as record flooding swamps parts of the deep south. More than a foot of rain fell in some areas in almost 24 hours, and more is expected. Dozens of people are reportedly stranded in their homes and the rising water is said to be responsible for at least one death. Meanwhile in the Northeast, 70 million people are under heat advisories.
