Judge to Apple: Unlock San Bernardino shooter’s iPhone

A showdown between the federal government and Apple is taking shape after the tech giant declined to give access to encrypted data on San Bernardino shooter Syed Farook’s iPhone. Now a federal judge has ordered Apple to help the FBI recover the data, and Apple’s CEO vows to fight back. NBC’s Steve Patterson reports and MSNBC chief legal correspondent Ari Melber calls it “a huge story” and says the case could go “well into the high courts.”
