As Matt Lauer is joined on TODAY by Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd, political analyst Nicolle Wallace and NBC’s Tom Brokaw, historian Michael Beschloss says that President-elect Donald Trump wanted to stay at one of his own hotels before his inauguration, but “cooler heads” persuaded him to stay at Blair House, where incoming presidents traditionally stay.
