Ethan Hawke: 'Born to be Blue' is 'a riff on the life of Chet Baker'
Ethan Hawke is best known for "Dead Poets Society" and his Oscar-winning performance in “Boyhood." Now he’s taking on the life of iconic jazz trumpeter Chet Baker in the new film “Born to be Blue." Hawke tells Savannah Guthrie that, like a jazz improvisation, "this movie is a riff on the life of Chet Baker" and looks at a vintage clip of Baker appearing on TODAY.
