Boy Scouts to admit transgender kids, reversing century-old stance

Breaking from a more than century-old policy, the Boy Scouts announced a historic decision to allow transgender children who identify as boys to enroll. In a taped video statement, the organization said “we realize that referring to birth certificates as the reference point is no longer sufficient.” NBC national correspondent Miguel Almaguer reports for TODAY.
