Atlantic storm could make Florida’s Zika situation worse
The brewing tropical system that’s been on a path toward Florida could make the state’s Zika situation harder to control. The potential excess standing water, a breeding ground for the virus-carrying bugs, could lead to more mosquitoes in rain-soaked parts of the state. There have reportedly been 40 cases of the virus in four communities across Florida. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY from Miami.
