It was pandemonium in Florida as 15,000 One Direction fans packed Universal Orlando Resort for the band's live performance on TODAY. Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan joined Matt Lauer and Al Roker in Orlando to debut their fourth studio album, "Four" — but one 1D member was missing.

Zayn Malik didn't make it with his bandmates to the States.

"He’s got a tummy bug so he’s not very well," Liam Payne said of Malik.

"We only found out this morning so we’re really sad, he is as well, that he can’t be here for our album release... It's still going to be a great day, I’m sure," Payne explained to Matt.

Payne reassured fans that his bandmate was just home ill — putting to rest rumors of substance abuse and other more serious problems. The absence of Malik led to "#GetWellSoonZayn" trending worldwide on Twitter.

The guys from 1D made their American television debut on TODAY in 2012 — and they've dominated the music scene ever since. "I think we’ve tried to make our music move with us a little bit, as we’ve gotten a little bit older and each album gets a little bit older," said Louis Tomlinson about their evolution since that debut.

Harry Styles said he still gets nervous despite the group's previous album releases.

"It’s exciting and nervous at the same time. I think this is the album we’re most proud of," he said. And the band wouldn't have left TODAY without making a special announcement: they're heading back out on the road this summer.

Once the concert got underway, the boys performed their hits:

'Steal My Girl'

'Best Song Ever'

'Little Things'

'Night Changes'

'Story of My Life'
