Watch your favorite TODAY show videos and slideshows on your iPad with the TODAY show's new app specially made for Apple's popular tablet — and for your schedule.

The free app, available Friday, is just in time for the release of the iPad 2, also out Friday. (TODAY fans on Facebook have a chance to win an iPad2 by going to TODAY's Facebook page.)

You can use TODAY for iPad anytime you want to watch or catch up on full episodes of the show. You can browse to, your favorite TODAY show segments by the show's date or by topic. Topics include news, entertainment, food, health, fashion and beauty, parenting, relationships, pets and animals, and Hoda & Kathie Lee.

The app's interactive transcript mode lets you read through a video and jump right to the moment of the clip you're interested in. You can also watch videos and browse related stories or slideshows at the same time.

Videos can also be shown on full-screen mode if you just want to concentrate on watching, and not multitasking, with the app.

You can share the stories and videos you like with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail by using the app, which also has one-touch access to Facebook and the TODAY show's Facebook page.

TODAY for iPad is available through Apple's App Store in iTunes.

Last June, TODAY released an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, which also works on the iPad. The new app is especially designed to take advantage of the iPad's screen real estate and video capabilities.
