No matter what your age, there are a TON of educational apps and sites out there to help you learn or keep track of your child’s learning. When Kathie Lee and Hoda asked me to come up with some of my favorite apps and sites, I couldn't wait to generate this list of highlights:

The parent toolKit app
This app is produced by NBC News and sponsored by Pearson, but that’s not why I chose it. This is a great app and site to help parents keep track of both their child’s academic progress as well as their health. I really love how it gives you some idea as to what to expect your child to go through at different grade levels. This is great for kids and parents of kids Pre-K – 18.

Learn with homer
If you need a fun way to help your child start off literacy the right way, this winner of the 2014 Mom’s Choice Gold Award, 2015 Parents Choice Award, and the 2015 Teacher’s Choice Award for Family and Classroom is recommended for ages 3-8. I've personally met the founder and experienced her passion for kids and literacy first-hand. This is a go-to app!

Slice fractions
A fun way for children to learn the concept of fractions, recommended ages about 6 and up. There are 60 levels of puzzles for your child to go through to help this cute little mammoth get to the end of his journey! Kids learn to solve each puzzle visually using logic to understand what needs to be done to complete each level.

Tutor.com
There is a point where you can’t necessarily help your kids with their homework anymore. Recommended for middle school on up, Tutor.com is where students connect with a tutor virtually anytime online for as long as they need. The site has tutors for more than 40 subjects, and parents pay only a monthly fee. I spoke to the CEO of the company, who stressed the background checks and the criteria for how they select teachers, which showed me how serious Tutor.com is about ensuring quality and safety.

Kapitall
This is where gaming meets stock trading. A tremendous app for parents as well as kids, Kapitall teaches students of any age about trading and the stock market. There are 3 modes, including trading with virtual cash to learn the basics all the way into real live trading! If you want to start small and not necessarily use any real money but still would like to get involved with the stock market, Kapitall is your solution!
