Just when you thought you'd get brain freeze if you saw one more ice-bucket challenge, Bill Gates comes out with one. And, as usual, he outdoes everyone else.

After Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg challenged him to the ice bucket challenge for ALS that's been taking the Internet by storm, Microsoft co-founder Gates was only too happy to comply. But he was determined to best that young whippersnapper Zuck.

"I'm glad to give to ALS. It's a great cause," Gates said in his response video. "But I want to accept this challenge, I want to do it better than it's been done."

The video then shows the billionaire drawing out a sketch of a contraption that would automatically dump the bucket of ice over his head, and then donning a welding mask and actually building it.

Before dousing himself in the icy water, he challenges SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, TV host Ryan Seacrest and TED curator Chris Anderson to do the same within 24 hours.
