Apparently, we're not watching our ...er... Ps, and also Qs when we use Twitter or Facebook these days. New research from Nielsen and NM Incite finds that 32 percent of those ages 18 to 24 use social networking while in the bathroom. It brings additional meaning to the phrase "potty mouth."
It's bad enough many of us have become not only familiar with, but adept at, taking cellphones into the toilet, talking on them, muting the sound while we do our, ahem, business.
But social media's grip has got us going, so to speak, with this latest stat from the companies' Social Media Report for 2012.
The next oldest group, those ages 25 to 34, are a bit more respectable in their behaviors: 51 percent say they use social networking from the office.
That's much better — am I right, bosses? — and undoubtedly less messy.
