Wedding gowns: Pretty in pink — or green or purple

Oct. 18, 2013 at 11:45 AM ET

Video: The combination of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and New York Bridal Fashion Week have the Fourth Hour ladies swimming in a sea of pink. They review Vera Wang’s colorful bridal collection, which ranges from corals to peonies, as well as the new “Key To The Cure Tee” from Saks Fifth Avenue, which benefits local women’s cancer charities.

Vera Wang is the one of the biggest names in wedding dresses, and this year, she chose to show off a line of completely colorful bridal gowns. No more white? What gives?

"Vera Wang chose pink as her color and said she was inspired by some dresses that she saw. They range in color from coral to peony," said Hoda, of Wang's new collection.

"You know what, it's a personal choice, most people shouldn't be wearing white anyway, let's be honest," said KLG. "I think a lot of people have been married before and worn the white the first time — say it's your sixth or seventh time — I think it's fine to wear a different color."

We reached out to TODAY fans and asked you to send us your beautiful brightly colored dresses, and you delivered!

Kateri Roybal went for a light lavender gown, just like the director Sofia Coppola, who married Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars in a gorgeous Azzedine Alaia gown in 2011.

Cammie Lewis Holiday chose an offbeat chartreuse Christian Siriano skirt and matching belt, which complemented her pretty auburn hair.

And Betsy Stafford married the love of her life in a red gown seven years ago. The color was similar to the shade that "Little House on the Prairie" star Melissa Gilbert chose to wear for her April 2013 nuptials to actor Timothy Busfield.

"It's your day, you wear what you want," said KLG. We couldn't agree more. Check out the colorful dresses you sent in:
