If Google searches have anything to say about it, we spent this year coveting Versace clothes and Gucci jewelry while kicking up our heels in TOMS as we shopped at Kohl’s.

Who says you can’t mix high-end fashion with bargain shopping?

The annual Google Zeitgeist list of the year’s top searches is out, and, along with results on things like most searched people (Miley Cyrus), beer (Blue Moon) and books (Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead), there are fashion trend lists, as well.

So, the most-searched high-end fashion brands in 2013? Versace led the style pack, given a bump by a Drake song of the same name, followed by Michael Kors, Diesel Black Gold, Gucci, Kate Spade, Rachel Zoe, Prabal Gurung, Givenchy, Mulberry and Luca Luca, respectively.

As for the most trending jewelry brands, Gucci gets the top honors, with Kendra Scott, Sucre, Jennifer Meyer, Jennifer Fisher, Better Late Than Never, Gemfields, Latest Revival, Suzannah Wainhouse and Winifred Grace taking spots two through 10. (Apparently, we have some jewelry brand research to do.)

The most-searched apparel labels and retailers were led by Kohl’s and JCPenney, followed by Nordstrom, Forever 21, Victoria’s Secret, Old Navy, Macy’s, American Eagle, Nike and Dillard’s.

And shoe brands? TOMS was the most-searched, with Aldo, Nike, Jessica Simpson, Steve Madden, Nine West, SUPRA, Coach, Puma and Vans rounding out the top 10.

So, maybe we’re not the trendiest lot when it comes to style searches, but we have to say we’re not all that surprised by the lists. Now, if someone should snap a photo of Donatella Versace shopping at Kohl’s while wearing TOMS? That would be sure to trend like crazy. Someone should tell Google Images.
