Ah, summertime — when the flowers are in bloom, the SPF in high demand and your favorite musk-heavy perfume stored away untill fall.
It's not uncommon for women to swap out their scents come higher temperatures, as sweat introduces a tricky, complex element that doesn't always gel with Chanel No. 5. In honor of the summer switcheroo (a long-respected tradition), we asked TODAY's talent which signature scents they count on to get them through the heat:
Natalie Morales
TODAY host Natalie’s favorite scent is the beloved British brand Penhaligon's Artemisia, which counts on nectarine, lily of the valley, jasmine, tea and violet for its soft, feminine fragrance. “I wear it year round,” Natalie said of luxurious perfume. “It’s very light, slightly floral with spice. “
For summer, however, Natalie also loves Penhaligon’s Bluebell, a cult-favorite — worn by the likes of Kate Moss — featuring notes of citrus, rose, lily and jasmine. “It has more floral notes and was a favorite of the late Princess Diana.”

Kathie Lee Gifford
Is there anything more seasonally appropriate than berries (save for maybe ocean water)? TODAY host Kathie Lee Gifford adores the smell of Hanae Mori's Butterfly perfume, which features distinctive notes of strawberries, almond, praline and roses.
“It’s so fresh and clean," Kathie Lee said of the Japanese perfume. "It makes you happy.”

Hoda Kotb
It's all class when it comes to what Hoda's wearing. The fourth hour host relies on Trish McEvoy’s No. 3, a ladylike perfume which combines the smell of snowdrop flowers, crystal musk, jasmine, clementine blossoms and sheer freesia.
"The best!" raves Hoda. "It smells fresh, sexy and light all at once."

Bobbie Thomas
When it comes to fragrances, TODAY style editor Bobbie Thomas likes it clean and simple: “Summer, winter, whenever... there's nothing better than the smell of 'clean, naked skin', except for my signature scent, Perfect Veil by Sarah Horowitz, which magically captures that exact concept.”

Jill Martin
When it comes to summer scents, fashionista Jill Martin takes a little piece of the tropics with her everywhere. Her purse-friendly choice? The gardenia-infused Kai perfume oil, complete with an easy-to-use roll-on vial.
