Anything goes on the American Music Awards red carpet, whether it's beanies or backless ball gowns. There was clearly no dress code Sunday night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles — some celebs showed up dressed to the nines while others were barely dressed (we’re looking at you, Bleona Qereti!).
As always, skin was in, though the stars kept things less obvious in terms of what body parts to reveal. From Selena Gomez’s drop-dead gorgeous backless gown to the high-leg slits found on Fergie and Kendall and Kylie Jenner's gowns, it seemed like everyone was trying to make a statement with their look.
Swift went crazy and Selena cried: The 6 best moments of the AMAs
Danica McKellar
Winnie Cooper, is that you? The Wonder Years star Danica McKellar stunned in a sexy emerald green Mac Duggal dress.
Jessie J
Jessie J was all about the pants suits on Sunday night. The singer walked the red carpet in a sleek white suit, but changed into a much sexier gold pants-suit to perform "Bang Bang" during the show.
Diana Ross
Diana Ross was in full diva mode, sporting a black gown trimmed in fur, as well as big hair and a feather-filled cape.
Rita Ora
Rita Ora brightened up the red carpet in a yellow Zac Posen gown. The singer complemented her look by pulling her hair into a tight topknot.
Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss
Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss obviously share a love for the two-piece dress. The BFFs both chose fun, stomach-baring outfits for the evening.
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez looked uncharacteristically covered up as she walked the red carpet in a long-sleeved black Giorgio Armani Prive gown. The dress did have an element of fun to it: when the singer turned around, the dress exposed her entire back.
