Old St. Nick has decided to lose a few pounds, trim his beard and update his wardrobe to become "Fashion Santa," and now even adults want their picture taken with him.

At the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto, model Paul Mason has been a hit as a slimmed-down, hipster version of Kris Kringle in skinny jeans, delighting mall patrons and the Internet with his modern take on the typically portly gift-giver.

If you've ever wondered what Santa would look like wearing Ferragamo, John Varvatos and Moncler, Fashion Santa has the answer.

TODAY's Matt Lauer, for one, isn't on board with Santa's new look.

"You'll need to know what Matt said,'' Savannah Guthrie said on TODAY Tuesday. "I'll have to clean it up. He said, 'This is ridiculous. You don't mess with Santa.'"

This is the second year that Mason has played Fashion Santa, and he is looking to make some money for charity while making people smile.

For every picture taken with Fashion Santa that is shared with the hashtag #YorkdaleFashionSanta, the shopping center is donating $1 to SickKids Foundation up to a maximum of $10,000.

“I’m bringing people some holiday joy and helping raise money for charity. What’s not to love?” Mason told the Toronto Star.
