Olympic swimmer and gold medalist Ryan Lochte is about to turn heads in Rio — and not just for his chiseled features and athletic prowess. The world-champion swimmer/underwear model/owner of the cutest puppy ever has just debuted a completely new look ahead of his arrival in Brazil for the 2016 Olympic Games.
Lochte teased his transformation on Twitter, telling his followers on Sunday that, "A change could be happening today." The 31-year-old stuck to his word and switched his swim cap for a plastic hair cap along with friend and fellow Olympic swimmer Jimmy Feigen. As the saying goes, "The teammates that dye together, win together." ... or something like that.
The icy shade — a color he's calling #lightblue — marks a bold switch from the close-cropped brown locks he's worn since becoming a household name at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. It's still unclear whether or not he's found a diamond-encrusted "grill" to match his new hairstyle, but at least we know which outfit he'll first pair with his new look in Rio. Maybe he was even inspired by the glow-in-the-dark elements of the opening ceremony uniforms?

This style switch comes close on the heels of an interview Lochte gave to Cosmopolitan magazine, in which he discussed his adventures in online dating. Of the experience, he said that he hasn't been on any dates so far, but has been impressed with the "gorgeous women who are smart" with whom he's been matched.

He went on to say, "You can't say, like, looks aren't everything because, I mean, that's the first thing that people see ... I want someone that has goals and all that." We wonder what the ladies of Charlotte, North Carolina (where he's training) and the Olympic Village will think of his cool blue 'do.
What do you think? Does Lochte's new look make you want to say "jeah?"
