There weren't any high-slit memes or rainbow-infused hues on the Oscars red carpet Sunday night, but Hollywood's greatest still managed to impress us. (And yes, we're alluding to Jennifer Lawrence's adorable fall.) From bold tuxedos to pastel perfect gowns, check out a few of the standout style trends:

Bright white
Let's hear it for the boys: While some of the attendees opted for navy tuxedos, best actor nominee Matthew McConaughey, E! host Ryan Seacrest and best supporting actor winner Jared Leto took a lighter approach to their festive attire.

Even the ladies got in on the trend, including Kate Hudson, Kristen Bell and more:

Pastels
Ballerina colors danced their way into stylists' hearts, as modeled on Matthew McConaughey's wife Camila Alves, "12 Years a Slave" star Lupita Nyong'o and Jada Pinkett Smith. (These gowns could also easily dress a baby nursery.)

Metallics
You can always count on metallics to make an awards show appearance. (They're like the Giuliana Rancic of red carpet colors.) "Dallas Buyers Club" actress Jennifer Garner, Angelina Jolie and Jessica Biel pulled it off with just enough bling.

Black
Chic black was quite popular this year, with "August: Osage County" Julia Roberts, Glenn Close and Olivia Wilde leading the dramatic pack:
