Model fights body-shamers with powerful photo: 'I couldn't help myself'

Fashion model Iskra Lawrence's clever Instagram photo and its corresponding caption are getting rave reviews for taking the bite out of body-shamers.

Calling out a comments-section troll who, she alleges, called her a "fat cow," belittled plus-size models and accused her of "eating too many bags of crisps," Lawrence responded by posing for a photo, in which she's wearing a bra and underwear — and basking in a pile of potato-chip bags.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help myself," reads the caption to the photo, posted Friday on Instagram. "This is for anyone who has ever been called FAT." Referencing the expletive-inclusive quote about how opinions are, um, ubiquitous, Lawrence concluded her post by thanking her "dream team" for making the photo happen. Within days, it collected almost 67,000 likes on Instagram.

Wearing the same outfit, Lawrence later that day posted a slow-motion Instagram video of her eating a potato chip and flipping the bird, presumably sending another message to the aforementioned commenter.

"I do not condone binge eating," reads the caption to that video, which garnered almost 70,000 likes as of Tuesday night. "I eat whatever I want in moderation. I will eat crisps but I'll also make healthy home cooked meals and workout regularly. The message is who gives a [darn] what anyone else thinks of you. YOU are the only one who decides yourself worth."
