Only Kate Moss could make the bridezilla syndrome seem... fashionable?
The newlywed supermodel recently admitted to Vogue that she got a little carried away planning her July 1 nuptials to rocker Jamie Hince. And now, legendary footwear designer Manolo Blahnik – who designed the bride’s high, crystal-studded heels – has revealed just how far Moss went.
Blahnik says his staff worked all night long to perfect Moss’ customized "Godichefac" wedding-day sandals, which cost a cool $895 at Barneys.
“We did them five times to get them the way she wanted,” Blahnik said in an interview with WWD. “The shoes arrived the day before, and there were too many jewels on the heel because of the long train, so we had women working up until midnight to change it.”
But don’t worry – the veteran designer has only warm, fuzzy feelings for the British beauty and her decadent, Gatsbyesque ceremony, which he attended. “The wedding was divine. Kate has such a presence. You just have to feel it,” he said.
Of course, Kate isn’t the only model to throw a footwear tantrum. Just last week, fellow supermodel Gisele Bundchen put her foot down by refusing to wear high heels on the runway. Supermodels, the sole humans who can get away with such shoe fits.
