Lorde knows she’s not perfect — and the Grammy winner wants to make sure her fans know that, too.
The 17-year-old “Royals” singer took to Twitter on Sunday to proclaim "flaws are OK" while proving it with two photos of herself, one featuring her acne-prone face and the other, seemingly altered, to show off skin as velvety smooth as her voice.
It wasn't clear where the photos were taken from, and her representatives did not immediately respond to a TODAY.com request seeking comment. But the singer's tweet prompted her fans to respond with glee about what a great role model the New Zealand singer is.
This isn’t the first time the acclaimed songstress has been honest about her teenage complexion. In Feb., Lorde attracted attention after posting an Instagram photo of herself, sans makeup but with plenty of pimple cream on her chin and cheeks.
The picture was a more candid take of the latest string of photographs taken of celebrities, or ones snapped by the stars themselves, showing off what they look like without the help of makeup artists and Photoshop.
