The bathroom, the scissors, and, inevitably, the tears ... we've all been there.
The real question is, who among us did not have the bold idea to take scissors to their hair at some point during childhood? It's practically a rite of passage.
But there's something much more sobering about watching someone else do it.

Case in point: This video, which has been making the rounds on Facebook ever since Debbie Arnold posted it Jan. 15. It's since received more than 191,000 shares and nearly 18 million views — and caused a whole lot of nail-biting misery among us at-home viewers.
Put down the scissors and back away from the camera, Aubrey Arnold. Please. PLEASE.
According to ABC News, the 5-year-old was given a basket of old makeup to use for playtime tutorials, beauty vlogger style. TODAY.com reached out to Debbie Arnold for comment but didn't hear back.

The resulting fringe? Well, Aubrey may need a few more years of beauty school before she's ready to take this gig outside the bathroom. But we're really just glad she emerged unscathed from the whole endeavor.
And anyway, it's what's inside that counts. The resulting 'do is certainly a testament to Aubrey's creativity and spunk. You go, girl.
