Target has made headlines (and plenty of sales) for their designer collaborations featuring mostly up-and-coming names in the industry. For their latest collection in the series, however, the mass retailer is looking to the past. Namely, the so-called "Queen of Prep" Lilly Pulitzer.

Pulitzer was an American socialite and fashion designer who championed colorful shift dresses in the '50s and '60s. Her bright florals and sunny prints — invented to hide juice stains — became the ultimate symbol of Palm Beach cool as vacation attire for the jet-set elite. Though Pulitzer passed in 2013, her eponymous clothing line continues.

Target announced that the spring collaboration with her brand will debut on April 19 with 250 pieces of apparel, accessories, beauty and home decor. They boast that nearly 200 items will be sold for less than $30 and that clothing will include plus sizes (a criticism of past collaborations).

Just in time for spring weather!
