Lace, cut-outs and color: Our favorite trends from the Emmys red carpet
Hollywood is nothing if not trendy. And when it comes to one of the entertainment industry's biggest nights, the celebs certainly don’t disappoint. From bold black and white to sexy bright red gowns, many stars opted for fashion’s best fads on the Emmy Awards 2013 red carpet:
The flattering Citibike hue has been named Pantone’s color for spring 2014, and lovable leading ladies like Tina Fey were all too eager to welcome in the next season. (How great does Fey look, right?)
Daring or doilie? Black lace made a reoccurring appearance on the red carpet, with celebrities updating the grandma chic trend in a sleek, sexy manner.
Neck and shoulder accents
Heavy on the hardware: Heidi Klum went all out, but stars like Mayim Bialik highlighted their collarbone area with chic shoulder accents. It's bling that's a little less easy to lose.
This color (obviously) never goes out in style, but it certainly gets a new level of va-va-voom factor when it's worn by someone like Sofia Vergara. Her body can do no wrong.
Black and white
The ladies weren’t going to let the men have all the penguin-colored fun. Stars like “Breaking Bad" actress Anna Gunn and Elisabeth Moss of “Mad Men” made it look chic, modern and ladylike.
Less is more in this case, in which gowns cut back on fabric in order to highlight fun geometric cut-outs.
