Robbie Tripp has a wonderful body-positive message for his beloved wife, Sarah — and he's sharing it with the world.

The activist and author took to Instagram this week to say that he loves his wife’s curvy body, posting an inspiring message alongside a photo of the two of them on the beach. He noted that as a teenager, he was teased by friends for being attracted to women whom some might label “chubby” or “fat.”

“Then, as I became a man and started to educate myself on issues such as feminism and how the media marginalizes women by portraying a very narrow and very specific standard of beauty (thin, tall, lean) I realized how many men have bought into that lie,” wrote Tripp, 26.

Describing his wife, who's a fashion blogger, Tripp said, “There is nothing sexier than this woman right here: thick thighs, big booty, cute little side roll, etc. Her shape and size won't be the one featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan but it's the one featured in my life and in my heart.”

Sarah Tripp, 25, told TODAY that she found her husband's post about her incredibly sweet. "He always makes me feel so loved and appreciated. As a body-positive fashion blogger, I've been very open about my body love journey and my goal to help other curvy women learn to love their body. I just feel so lucky that I have a husband who has loved every inch of me since the day we met," she said.

Robbie Tripp’s post has been liked more than 12,000 times with supporters applauding his positive, heartfelt message.

“Thank you for giving every woman who (reads) this newfound confidence and self-worth,” wrote one person. “This is beautiful! And more real men should feel this way,” wrote another.

Tripp told TODAY that seeing his post take off has been exciting because it made the San Francisco-based couple realize just how many men and women feel the same way. "My favorite part has been seeing all the guys tagging their girlfriend or wife and saying, 'This is what I tell you all the time! I love your curvy body!' It's awesome to see all these couples joining us in breaking down society's beauty myth that women have to be a certain size or a certain shape to be considered sexy," he said.

Tripp ended his viral post arguing there’s nothing more attractive than a woman who is curvy and confident.

“Guys, rethink what society has told you that you should desire. A real woman is not a porn star or a bikini mannequin or a movie character. She's real. She has beautiful stretch marks on her hips and cute little dimples on her booty,” he wrote. “Girls, don't ever fool yourself by thinking you have to fit a certain mold to be loved and appreciated. There is a guy out there who is going to celebrate you for exactly who you are, someone who will love you like I love my Sarah.”
