Who says scary can't be pretty? This season, there are plenty of Halloween-inspired beauty products on the market to ensure that your October 31 can be just as fashionable as it is spooky.
MAKE UP FOR EVER has recently released a perfect-for-Halloween night product called Fluo Night. The make-up, which comes in 8 vibrant colors, is not only fluorescent, but will give off an intense color when worn under UV lights. Each color is fun and pretty, but the white shade has an especially Halloween-y twist: it's invisible or neutral in normal lights, but shines brilliantly under UV, creating a haunting surprise effect. ($31, Sephora.com)
Revlers whose Halloween plans don't include UV lights can still participate in the glow-in-the-dark fun thanks to OPI's glow-in-the-dark green nail polish, Zom-body To Love. For an effect that's less glowy and more ghostly, there's Black Shatter, which will create a cackled, shattered look on nails. A more playful option is Sally Hansen's Salon Effects Nail Strips, which come in spiderweb pattern and adorable skull and crossbones. ($9.99, Ulta)
For beauty product junkies, Halloween might be the perfect time to experiment with some of this year's most outlandish beauty innovations. Temporary Lip Tattoos from Violent Lips($14.95, Sephora) last for up to 8 hours, and come in fun patterns such as polka-dot, leopard, and American flag. For a dramatic eye look, there's Dior's Multi-Wear Adhesive Patches ($59, Sephora), which are bedecked with Swavroski crystals. And zombie fans looking for that perfect shade of blood-stained lip can find it in Tarte For True Blood's limited edition lip stain in blood-red, of course. ($24, Tarte.com)
As for taking off make-up – whether glittery, glowy or ghouly – well there's a perfect Halloween beauty product for that, too: Philosophy's Shower Gel, in (what else?) Candy Corn. ($16, Sephora)
