When it comes to cutting hair, Dylan Dreyer is a wonderful meteorologist.
The TODAY anchor showed she is not ready to open a salon just yet when she attempted to tame her husband Brian Fichera's hair for the first time over the weekend.
Whether she did a good job is mainly a matter of where a person is standing while looking at Brian.
From the front, everything looks solid. From the back...
"To make him feel better, I said, 'You'll never have to see the back,''' Dylan said on TODAY Monday.
Dylan accidentally buzzed out a patch of hair on the back of Brian's neck, leaving a bald spot that TODAY's Take guest Alfonso Ribeiro said looks like the state of Idaho.
"(Brian) actually said it's not that bad,'' Dylan said.
"Well, he can't see the back!" Alfonso said.
Sheinelle Jones suggested turning the "L"-shaped patch into a "C" in honor of the couple's baby son, Calvin.
Dylan had ordered a pair of clippers online to do the job but made a crucial error.
"I didn't realize there was a beard set of clippers and a hair set of clippers,'' she said. "I started with the beard set."
A TODAY colleague bravely volunteered to give Dylan another shot at cutting hair, although he suggested starting with his beard and then taking it from there depending on how she does.
As for Brian, he is left with the consolation that has been given to everyone who has experienced a bad haircut.
"It'll grow in,'' Dylan said.
